What we collect and why

To fulfil an order we collect your name, email address, delivery address and telephone number. The lawful basis is performance of the contract between us. We keep order records for six years to meet HMRC requirements.

If you create an account we store your name, email address and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store your password itself. The lawful basis is performance of the contract; you can close the account at any time.

If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address on the basis of your consent, and you can withdraw it from any email we send.

We do not collect or store card details. Payment is handled by our payment processor, and only the outcome of the payment reaches us.

Who we share it with

We share delivery details with the carrier that ships your order, and your email address with the provider that sends our transactional email. We use a hosting provider and a database provider to run the site. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email support@kaptanleather.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
